Major Betty L. (Jeirles) Bartlebaugh, 47, of Wethersfield, Conn., formerly of Lock Haven, was promoted to glory on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 after an extended battle with cancer.
She was the beloved wife of Douglas Bartlebaugh and loving mother of Bethany Bartlebaugh.
Betty was born in Lock Haven on Nov. 4, 1964 to Betty (Michaels) Jeirles of Lock Haven and the late Ralph E. Jeirles
She served the Salvation Army for more than 20 years in numerous capacities.
With her husband, daughter, and mother, she is survived by two brothers, a sister, and their spouses, Ralph and Candace Jeirles of Lock Haven, Martin and Kay Jeirles of Jersey Shore, and Linda and Philip Gottlieb of Lock Haven, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Betty was predeceased by a sister, Eva Jeirles.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel, 119 E. Church St., Lock Haven. Private burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
