5 Dec 1923: Harry C. Kindt, of Ebenezer, died at his home Monday afternoon after suffering from a two weeks illness of Bright's disease. He was a painter by trade, and an active member of Ebenezer U.B. Church. Mr. Kindt is survived by his wife, Esther (nee Meyer), two sons, Harry and Mertis, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kindt and brothers John, Paul and Clarence. His brother Roy preceded him in death about two weeks ago. The funeral from the late residence in Ebenezer. Rev. Samuel Waltz officiated at the services in the U.B. Church in Ebenezer. Floral tokens were in abundance and the funeral was a very large one. The pallbearers were Robert Seibert, John Kreider, Raymond Fortna, Howard Fields, Ralph Light and Edgar Backman. The interment took place at Ebenezer Cemetery, in charge of H.C. Rohland. [Lebanon Daily News]
