On October 30, 1920, Blanche married Chester Reese, a World War One veteran and railroad man. Though their marriage was not blessed with children of their own, Blanche and Chet were loving and generous to their many nephews and nieces.
Blanche was an accomplished seamstress and a wonderful cook. She loved to garden, spoil her pets, and entertain family and friends.
Chet and Blanche often took trips to visit family and sightsee. Chet liked Cadillacs so they always traveled in style.
After her husband's death in 1956, Blanche continued to live in the little bungalow they called home, taking comfort in her extended family and her faith, but always missing her beloved Chet. She was reunited with him on 14 August 1979, when she passed from this life at the age of 87.
Their monument is in Silver Spring Cemetery off the Marietta Pike in Silver Spring, W. Hempfield Twp., Lancaster County, PA.
