SOUTHWICK—Virginia (Ferrier) Fletcher, 88, longtime resident of this town, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Noble Hospital, Westfield surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, MA, Virginia was the daughter of the late Simon & Jennie (Hackett) Ferrier. Virginia enjoyed many activities and hobbies but mostly she enjoyed raising her family and entertaining friends. She loved to travel and along with her late husband Rod spent many winters in retirement fishing and playing golf in Florida. She is survived by two sons, three brothers, Robert Ferrier of Lady Lake, FL. Harry Ferrier of Oak Harbor, WA, & Patrick Tracy of Buckeye, AZ, a sister Jennifer and her husband Mark of Shirley, MA, and a niece Gail and her husband Bob of Chester, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, Roderick H. Fletcher in 2013, two brothers, Tom & Dickie Tracy, & a sister, Jackie Duval and her husband Ernie. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Southwick-Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning, July 19th, from 10:00—11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwick Animal Shelter.
