Mr. Cobert was a lifelong resident of Lafitte. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 344 and the Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Adele Fonseca Cobert; a son, Wayne Cobert; two daughters, Claudette Cobert Perrin and Cynthia Cobert Boudoin; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Louisiana 45 in Lafitte. Visitation will be today from 6 to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Home, 7350 Gloria St., Lafitte. Burial will be in St. Pius X Cemetery.
