Death Sat. of an old resident of Two Rivers, the 71-yr. old widow M. Herbst.
Her husband died several years ago. She leaves 2 sons and a daughter. The
funeral will be held Tues. morning from the Catholic Church.

(Note: In Cem 89B there is Magdelena Herbst, husband Franz but her death
year is off by one./On the 1900 Two Rivers census, she is a widow b. in 1834.
making the birth year off by one year also./
1880 Two Rivers census: Frank Herbst age 46; wife Magdelene age 46;
Maria dau. age 18; Frank son age 6; Johann son age 1./this would make her
b. 1834) It's possible the stone cutter got the dates off by a year..
instead of 1834-1904 he put 1835-1905).

Mrs. Marthalene (sic) Herbst, aged 72, died at her home in Two Rivers last Saturday. She leaves two sons and a daughter, her husband having died about five years ago. Mrs. Herbst was born in Germany and was a Miss Hackel. The funeral took place Tuesday morning from St. Luke's Church.
