Union City- Mrs. Anna Belle (Kime) Phelps, 87, W. High St., died Tuesday at Maple Lawn Hospital, Coldwater, She had been ill for about two years.
Born in Branch county, she lived in Union city about 15 years and operated a restaurant insherwood for 20 years until she retired 17 years ago.
Surviving are: sons, ray Dunithan of Burlington, Roy Dunithan of Constantine, and Thomas Dunithan of Augusta; and step-sons, Arnold and Harold Phelps of Burlington. Battle creek Enquirer September 2,1970 page 8Mrs. Anna Belle Phelps -
Mrs. Anna Belle Phelps, 88, formerly of High Street, Union City, died at 11:20 a.m., at the Branch County Medical Care Facility.
Funeral service will be held at the Spencer Funeral Home in Athens, at 1:30 p.m., Friday, with the Rev. Elmer Ruhstorfer in charge. Burial will be at the Augusta Cemetery.
Mrs. Phelps was born on January 22, 1882, the daughter of John and Harriett (Chupp) Kime. She was well known in the Sherwood area where she operated a restaurant for a number of years.
Survivors are three sons, Ray Dunithan, Burlington; Roy Dunithan, Constantine; and Thomas Dunithan, Augusta; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Arnold Phelps and Harold Phelps of Burlington.
