Born August 1, 1930 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Robert William Jones and Myrtle Duncan Jones. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired twenty year veteran of the U.S. Navy having honorably served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Callahan Jones; granddaughter, Misty Trotter Wilson; four sisters, Ruth Walker, Irene Tucker, Betty Jean Jones, Alice Jones and brother, Paul Jones.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Trotter and husband, Kenny; one son, Michael W. Jones all of Forest City; four grandchildren, Tasha Trotter, Ashley Jones, Joshua Jones and Amber Lingelbach; four great-grandchildren, Cain Wilson, Katlin Brummitt, Kristin Brummitt and Allie Lingelbach.
Funeral services will be conducted at four o'clock on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
