From Der Nord Westen, 06 Apr. 1899: (From the correspondent in Two Rivers, 05 Apr.)
Also, death Fri. night here of 55-yr. old shoemaker Frank Hess following a long
illness. He leaves a widow and 5 children in good circumstances. He was a long
time resident of Two Rivers. Burial was Mon. from the Catholic Church.

Hess: at his home in this city, April 1st, 1899, Frank Hess, aged 54 years. Deceased was a resident of this city for the past twenty-five years and engaged iin the manufacture and sale of boots and shoes. He was always a hard working and prudent businessman, upright in his dealings and kind to his neighbors and friends. He leaves a wife and five children, some of whom are grown up. His funeral took place this morning from St. Luke's Church.
