FRANK HESS (d. 1964)

Frank J. Hess, 82, of 1513-26th St., Two Rivers, an officer and director at
Two Rivers Savings & Loan Assn. from its establishment in 1919 until his
retirement early this year and a retired long time department head at Hamilton
Mfg. Co., Two Rivers, died Sunday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. He
became afflicted with a stroke nine days earlier.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels,
Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. with a solemn requiem high Mass at St. Luke Catholic
Church. Celebrant will be the Rev. H.J. Schmitz, while the deacon and sub-deacon
will be the Revs. George Beth and Hubert Nilles, respectively. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Hess was born Dec. 23, 1881, at Two Rivers, son of the late Frank and Bertha
Benzinger Hess. He attended Two Rivers schools and at an early age he took
employment at Hamilton Mfg. Co. where he later became a foreman for many many
years, serving in the printer’s cabinate division. For 10 years up to his
retirement 12 years ago he headed the Quality Control Dept.
Mr. Hess who served as a director and officer of the Two Rivers Savings & Loan
Assn., through its existence, serving for a long period also as its treasurer,
had been vice president of the organization for 13 years up to his retirement.
A member of St. Luke Parish, he was on its board of trustees for many years. He
was also a member of Mother of Hope Council 1957, Knights of Columbus, the St.
Joseph Society and Holy Name Society of St. Luke parish.
Surviving are his wife, the former Isabelle Beth, whom he married at Two Rivers
Sept. 10, 1912; a daughter, Mrs. John Gabbett, of Delavan, Ill.; a sister, Mrs.
Mary Lynn, of Kellogg, Iowa and 10 grandchildren. A son, Francis Hess, preceded
him in death nearly three years ago.
Friends may call at the funeral chapels where the Rosary will be recited by the
Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus at 7 o’clock this Monday evening. The
family Rosary will be at 8 o’clock.

Frank Hess and Miss Isabel Beth, well known young people of Two Rivers passed through here Tuesday enroute to California on a honeymoon trip. The couple were married at St. Luke's Church,, Two Rivers, Tuesday morning. Mr. Hell is an employee of the Hamilton Mfg. Co. offices.

Notes From Two Rivers:
Frank Hess and Isabel Beth were married at St. Luke's church, Tuesday
morning. After the wedding the couple and relatives enjoyed a wedding
breakfast at the home of the bride. At noon the happy couple left on a
honeymoon trip to California.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Hess were born and reared in this city. They have a
large circle of friends. Mr. Hess is an employe of the Hamilton
Manufacturing company. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Beth. For several years she was employed in the office of the Hamilton
Company.
