Funeral Services Arranged For Wednesday At The St. Mark's Church
Mrs. Nicholas Hippert, 65, one of the best known residents of the
southside, died at her home at 2010 14th street at 3:15 o'clock
Sunday afternoon. She had been ill for more than six months with
complication of diseases.
Funeral services will be held from St. Mark's Catholic church at
nine o'clock Wednesday morning with the Rev. Father Peter J.
Nilles officiating. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery. The
remains will be removed to the home from the Beduhn and Goetz
funeral home tonight.
Mrs. Hippert, nee Mary Hoffman, was born in the town of Alverno,
February 10, 1869. She remained on the farm home until November
4, 1890 when she was married to Nicholas Hippert, who preceded
her in death a year and eight months ago. Since marriage she
lived at her home on 14th street, southside.
Mrs. Hippert was a charter member of the Ladies Sodality of St.
Luke's church, and was also a charter member of the Ladies
Sodality of St. Mark's church. She had been active in the affairs
of the latter church up to the time of her illness.
Surviving Mrs. Hippert are five daughters, Mrs. Rose Nagel, Mrs.
Arthur B. Geske, Mrs. Edward Kowsalski, Mrs. Reed Avery, and Mrs.
Valentine, all of this city, and two sons, Norman and Roland,
both at home. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. August Selinski of
Bruce, Wis., and five brothers, Charles Hoffman, Eugene, Oregon;
John Hoffman, Sr., Mendota, Ill.; Joseph Hoffman, town of Two
Rivers; Conrad Hoffman, Medford, Wis.; and George Hoffman, of
the town of Two Rivers. There are also eight grandchildren.

Names Are Omitted In Local Obituary Notice
Obituary notice of Mrs. Nicholas Hippert, published Monday, the names of three daughters and a son were omitted through error. They ar (sic) Mrs. Philip Neuman, this city, Mrs. Robert Stamm, West Allis, and Mrs. Elsie Weaver, Milwaukee,and Henry Hippert of West Allis. Another daughter, Mrs. Valentine Rath's last name was also omitted.
