Lloyd was born to Anna (Anderson) and Bart Barrickman in Kellogg, Idaho. He grew up in Spooner, WI, and graduated from Spooner High School, where his athleticism gained him recognition and enjoyment.
He was married to the former Frances Hoffman on April 15, 1940. They moved to Eau Claire in 1941. They lived on Wedgewood Avenue where they raised their family of eight children.
Lloyd worked as superintendent at Hutchins Industries for many years and then finished his career at Graphic Printing Company. He took an active part with the Boy Scouts of America and with the Eau Claire Rod and Gun Club. Lloyd was an avid sportsman with fishing and football being his favorites.
Lloyd was a fun person and a great father and grandfather. He was a charter and active member of St. Olaf Catholic Church.
