DINGLE, Evelyn F. - Of Mt. Morris, age 70, died Monday, January 19, 1998 at McLaren Hospital. Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday from the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris, Pastor Bob Burke and Rev. William R. Maynard officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Dingle will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2PM Wednesday. Thursday, Mrs. Dingle will be taken to church to lie in state from 10AM until time of funeral at 11AM. Evelyn was born January 5, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Sidney and Caroline (Saltenberger) Hall. She was united in marriage to Alvey Ethridge in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1973. She then married Thomas Dingle in 1981. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris, Evelyn lived in and around the Flint area for over 40 years. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are: 6 children, Gerald Lee Ethridge, Beverly Ann Ethridge, David Wayne Ethridge, Shirley Kay Orvis, Cecil and wife Patti Ethridge, Carol Irene Ethridge; 8 step-children, Willis and wife Lou Ethridge, Alvey and wife Mary Ann Ethridge, Walt and wife Joanne Ethridge, Nancy and husband Edward Davis, Betty Gordon, Donna and husband Glenn McLaren, William Dingle, Roger Dingle; grandsons, Joseph Orvis and Timothy Acord II; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred and Viola; brothers, Harold and Lloyd; several nieces and nephews.
