Mrs. ADA VIOLA SMITH, Big Spring, died Tuesday at the Williamsport Sanitorium. She was the widow of G. Howard Smith. Daughter of the late John Kuhn and Mahala Brewer Kuhn, Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of this community and was active in church work and civic affairs.
She was a member of St. Johns Evangelical and Reformed Church in Clear Spring, and taught the Ladies Adult Class for more than 40 years. She taught in the Washington County public schools more than 50 years.
Surviving are daughter, Helen K. Smith, at home; son, H. Page Smith, Big Spring; sisters, Mrs. John M. Shank, Big Spring; and Mrs. J. Roy Ingram, Hancock; two granddaughters and triplet grandsons.
Funeral services were conducted at the Clark Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring.
