Mrs. Anna Krase, 83, of 1900 27th street, Two Rivers, died early today at
Municipal hospital in that city following a two weeks illness. She had been
taken to the hospital Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 9am Monday
at the St. Luke Catholic church in Two Rivers with the Rt. Rev. C.V. Hugo
officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary cemetery. Born in Austria in
1865, Mrs. Krase was the former Anna Grimm. Coming to America with her parents
when two years of age, she lived with her family in Chicago for a short time
until coming to Manitowoc county to settle on a farm in the town of Two Rivers
now operated by Raymond Grimm. Following her marriage to William Krase in 1884
the couple operated a farm in the town until Mr. Krase’s death 28 years ago.
She continued to reside on the farm with her son, William Krase Jr., until
coming to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Christ Becker, in Two Rivers
12 years ago. Surviving are the son, William and daughter, Mrs. Becker, four
brothers, Adolph Grimm of Two Creeks, Edward of the town of Two Rivers and
August of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Frances Gauthier of Two Rivers;
six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The body is at the Beduhn funeral
home in Two Rivers where it may be viewed from 3 pm Saturday. The rosary will
be recited at 8pm Sunday.
