Survived by wife, Katherine Taylor Hardcastle, Hendersonville; son, Douglas (Donna) Hardcastle, Goodlettsville; step-daughter, Charlene Preston of Goodlettsville; sister, Venice True, Cleveland, TN; half-sister, Grace Holmes, LaGrange, IN; half-brothers, Noel Hardcastle, Lakeworth, FL, Tony Hardcastle, Hagerstown, MD and Waldon Hardcastle, Madison; step-brother, Alexander Delk, Cleveland, TN; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Hardcastle was the founder and President of Hardcastle Construction, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Remains rest at the funeral home of Phillips-Robinson Co., 2707 Gallatin Rd., where the family will receive friends Friday, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Trinity Baptist Church, 840 Forrest Retreat Rd., Hendersonville, on Saturday, December 15, 2001 at 1 p.m., with Rev. Patrick McGill officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Active Pallbearers: Owen Hardcastle, Bart Ballard, Michael White, Gary Hardcastle, Bill Young and Randy Griffith. Honorary Pallbearers: Past and present employees of Hardcastle Construction, J. R. Compton, Bill Young, Jr., Jimmy Mather, John Kolemba and Bill Klingenberg. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery.
