Mrs. ADA M. SMALLWOOD, 79, formerly of E. Washington St., died Wednesday morning in the Avalon Manor Nursing Home. Born in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of George I. and Carrie Everhart French.

She was a member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, the Personnel Workers class of the church and was a member of the Hagerstown Senior Citizens.

She was the widow of Howard M. Smallwood.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Janet M. MacMichael, Maugansville; two sons, Paul M. Smallwood and Glenn Smallwood, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Miller and Mrs. Catherine Palmer, both of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Rest Haven Funeral Home; burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
