BLANCHARDVILLE - HOLLANDALE - Mr. Roy E. Anderson, age 70, of Hollandale, died Tuesday, January 21, 1975, at Madison General Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Hollandale on April 24, 1904. His parents are the former Alfred & Sarah Anderson. He attended school in Hollandale. He was married on December 18, 1929, to Ellen Sellgren. They lived in Hollandale their entire married life. Mr. Anderson worked for the IC Railroad and various other business in the Hollandale area.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Hollandale Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; a daughter, Mrs. Edward J. (Elaine) Maloney; two sons, Robert D. of Watertown, South Dakota, and John E. of Waterloo, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; four brothers, Palmer Anderson of Madison, Grant Anderson of Wausau, Clifford Anderson of Hollandale, and Vernon Anderson of Corey, Illinois; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Lunda of Hollandale.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul, in 1935; a granddaughter; his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral services were in Hollandale Lutheran Church.
