Chelman, Carl M. Age 74, of Lexington, passed away June 29, 2015. Preceded in death by wife, Penny; daughters, Amy Chelman Miller and Kathleen K. Johnson; parents, Mel and Edie; and good friend, Pal McGee. Survived by children, Chuck (Pat) McGee, Scott (Susan) McGee, Kelli Rivera (Brad), D'Arcy McGee (Tom), and Kori Chelman; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers; the family of American Legion Post #566; and close friends, Dawn McGee and Margaret Iverson. Retired from Byerly's after 34 years, had a passion for bowling, golfing, cards, was an all-around sports enthusiast, part of a chorus, and proudly served his country in the US Army. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, July 15 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Drive (Cty Hwy 23). Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 PM Tuesday and 10-11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for CMT research.
