Below are two different death dates( 10 Sept 1864 & 24 Nov 1864) unsure of exact, but what my grandmother told me was"Her grandfather was killed in the Civil War, and her grandmother couldn't hardly cope with the news of his death, she passed away a short time later on 12 Oct 1864 after his death, leaving her mother and 3 other siblings as orphans" The 10th Sep fits more into what my grandmother had said

Pvt. Ragsdale was mortally wounded in action at Lynnville, Giles County, Tennessee on November 24, 1864. He died shortly afterwards and is buried in the Lynnville City Cemetery, Lot # 7. (According to Giles County Historical Society Bulletin, Vol 22, Page 85-87, July 1995). He is listed simply as a Mississippi Soldier by name Ragsdale.
