Mr. Bill Adkins 86 of Chapmanville, WV was born October 11, 1928 at Greenup, KY a son of the late John and Lula Kinser Adkins. Mr. Adkins departed this life on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Logan Center, Logan, WV.
Mr. Adkins was a coal miner, having worked at Island Creek Coal Co., a former truck driver for Hammer Lumber Company, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Virginia Wheatley Adkins, on November 20, 2014, daughter, Charlene Bryant, and 2 grandchildren, Ronald Ray Adkins and Zachery Wade Bryant.
Survivors include, 5 sons, Glen (Rosetta) Adkins, William Ray (Barbara) Adkins, Nathan Adkins, Clifford (Rosetta) Adkins and Arden Adkins all of Chapmanville, 2 daughters, Wanda Adkins of Chapmanville and Marcella Rose of Logan, sister, Louise Paul of North Carolina, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Dale Ramey and Tony Wheatley, Ministers, officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Wheatley Cemetery at Chapmanville.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville.
