She was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Floyd County, daughter of William and Marie Scheidecker Litterer.
She married Lyle Stauffer on Sept. 15, 1944, at Central Methodist Church, Charles City.
Gladys graduated from Charles City High School in 1942. She and her husband farmed in the Powersville area for many years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Elmer Litterer; and two sisters, Alice (Dale) Stauffer and Edna Franke.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City, with burial at 2:30 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene.
