*Rockwood is an unincorporated community located in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States.[1] Rockwood is located on County Highway R approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) north-northwest of downtown Manitowoc.


Mrs. Edward J. Kieper, 74, of 866 N. 14th St. Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

Rev. N.W. Kock will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. The former Rosaline Riemer was born Feb. 13, 1894, in the Town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Miko and Lena Lau Riemer.

She was married April 18, 1913 to Edward Kieper at Reedsville and they settled on a farm near Brillion, coming in 1944 to Manitowoc. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Raymond of Brillion and Edward Jr., of Meritt Island, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Ovella) Rusch of Rt. 2, Reedsville; a brother, William Riemer of Hilbert; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Schroeder of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Ann Brandes of Reedsville, Mrs. Edwin Behnke of Clintonville and Mrs. Lora Meyer of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 pm Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until noon on Friday and then until the time of service at the church.
