Gravestone inscription transcribed by Henry Deering & Edward Deering Noyes about 1887 and published in the Maine Historical & Genealogical Recorder. Vol 4, pg 116. Location then was listed as "Parker's Corner, Scarborough". At that time they located ten gravestones. Apparently Parker's Corner was in a part of Scarborough that later became part of South Gorham. It was named after John M. Parker, son of Moses and Mary Parker of Standish, where he kept a store. (Source: "History of Gorham, Me" by Hugh Davis McLellan, 1803, page 706.)
