MACON - Charles "Mac" Gilbert Havis, Jr., 64, of 523 Cherry Street, Apt 319, died Thursday, July 6, 2006. Services will be held Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 2P.M. at Doles United Methodist Church with the Reverend Janet Hayes and Chaplain Keith Henson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family may be contacted at 139 Brookwood Way, Macon, GA. -Mr. Havis was a member of Doles United Methodist Church. He was previously employed for 18 years at Bibb Music where he was a musical instrument repairman. He later opened Ace, his own musical instrument repair and antique shop on Cotton Avenue, and worked there until retiring. He was an avid fisherman and he was so greatly loved and will be missed. -Survivors: Wife, Faye Havis of Warner Robins; Daughters and son, Rhonda Anderson (Snake), Robert "Bo" Havis (Sandy), Rachele Simpson (Clay), all of Macon, and Ruby Havis of Jacksonville, FL; Sisters, Hettie Clark and Patsy Conrad (Danny), both of Macon; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; Brothers and sisters, Charles Newton Havis, Junior, Hazel Mobley, and Deborah Rogers, all of Shreveport, LA; Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. -Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
