Abram D. Jenney was born at Fairhaven, Mass., May 19, 1813, the youngest child of John Jenney and Catharine Davis. About 1815, he came with the family to Scipio, Cayuga County, New York, and from there to Greenwich township, Huron County, Ohio by 1824. Abram was a very active member of the Society of Friends at Greenwich, and a highly respected leader in the community.
On 20 March 1842, Abram Jenney married Sally Ann Griffin, and they were blessed with 10 children, seven of whom lived to adulthood. See also Sally Ann Griffin Jenney.
