Dwight Leonard Bond, 50, of Battiest, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born March 27, 1950, in Talihina, Okla., the son of Osbine and Maecian Bond. He married Betsy Mae Nehka on Dec. 28, 1971.
He was assistant mechanic for Battiest School, was affiliated with Kulli Chito Presbyterian Church in Bethel, and had lived in this area most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and a brother, Lester Dale Bond.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Mae Bond of the home; one son, Davin Bond of Bethel; three daughters, Marsha Bond, Melissa Bond and Loretta Bond, all of Bethel; three brothers, Dickie Bond, Larry Bond and Lloyd Bond, all of Bethel; three sisters, Elizabeth Tonihka of Bethel, Sandra Byington of Broken Bow and Donna Rios of Gillham, Ark.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 28, at Battiest School cafetorium (as printed) with the Rev. Charles Battiest officiating. Burial will follow at Kulli Chito Cemetery at Bethel.
