Heaven earned another angel on Sunday, July 5, 2015, Jimmy C. Abernathy. He lived 76 amazing years.
He was born on April 10, 1939 in Morley, MO to the late Mack Pearl and Jessie Lee Black Abernathy. He met the love of his life in high school, Maxine Randol and they got married on April 4, 1959 at Morley First Baptist Church.
Jimmy worked for 20 years at the Oran Hat Factory. He retired from Texas Eastern Pipeline after 25 years. He loved to fish for crappie. He also liked the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou Tigers. His greatest joy of all was his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oran.
Loving survivors include his wife, Maxine, of Oran; his daughter, Pam (Rick) Eftink of Oran; two grandchildren, Ricky (Jamie) Eftink of Jackson, April (DJ) Walton of Scott City; five great grandchildren, Bret, Aubree and Braeden Walton of Scott City, Alaina and Devin Eftink of Jackson, Missouri; two sisters, Betty (Cletus) Davis, Vicki Hodges; mother in law, Edith (Ben) Randol-Adams; sister in laws, Rose (Sam) Isaacs, Sally Thurlkill, Connie Randol (Rex Grossman), Sherri (Scott) Summers; brother in law, Harry Frye; special friends, Bill Hudgens and Jere Tenkhoff and a special nephew, Scott Randol Isaacs.
Was also preceded in death by his sister, Melba Frye; father in law, Silas Randol and brother in law, Bill Thurlkill.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
