James Fields of 2124 County Line Road, Barker, died Monday at Medina Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1898 in Clyde, Iowa, to the late George W. and Mary C. (Kline) Fields. He was a welder in the Des Moines, Iowa area for several years until retirement and had just moved to Barker about two months ago.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Fields; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Nita) Fisher of Barker; eight grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday evening (7-9) at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc., 38 State St., Middleport, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Brian Dowd will officiate and burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
