Mrs. Cornwell, 66, Passes Monday
Funeral To Be Held Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Alice Cornwell, 66, of Gadsden, Route 3, died at her home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock following a three-year illness.
She was a native of Georgia, but she moved to Alabama while still young and lived in Gadsden for 40 years. She had been a member of the North Gadsden Baptist Church for the past 14 years.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew J. Cornwell; three daughters, Mrs. G.E. Hall, Mrs. P.P. Williams, both of Gadsden, Route 3, and Mrs. George Mastoras, Alabama City, Route 1, and three sons, Pvt. William B. Cornwell, U.S. Army, Camp Robinson, Ark., Earl Green, Jacksonville, Ala., and Isaac Green, Gadsden, Route 3. The latter were sons by a former marriage.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, with the Rev. C. Rogers and the Rev. Will Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Hall, G.E. Hall, Posey Williams, Luke Upton, Robert Jackson, J.C. Raley and Buddy Pankey, Jr.
Collier-Butler Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements.
