OBITUARY-FARBER
Mary A., daughter of Mark and Mary Lee, was born in Ohio, Feb 22, 1851, and died at her home in Bethany, Mo., Monday, Aug. 5, 1940, aged 89 years, five months and 13 days.
She was married to Joseph Farber, a soldier of the Civil war, on Dec. 31, 1866. Mr. Farber died Oct. 25, 1927.
To this marriage 11 children were born, seven of whom survive her. These are: Oliver Farber of Jameson, Mo.; Mrs. Minnie Garton of Wathena, Kan.; George Farber of Linden, Colo.; Mrs. Mattie Cook of Newburg, Iowa. Mrs. W. E. Campbell of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Jessie Jensen of Coon Rapids, Iowa; and John Farber of Akron, Colo. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 35 greatgrandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; also one brother, S. D. Lee of Lavonia, Mo.

Mrs. Farber joined the Methodist church when a child and was ever strong for her church. She exemplified in her daily life the teachings of the Savior. She was unselfish, kind and friendly. She was a wonderful mother and greatly loved her grandchildren, caring for them in her home, and was always interested in their welfare.
She cared for the sick and even when she herself was ill, thought more of their condition than her own, and sought means to bring comfort and help to them.
Such was her long life. Nearly 90 years was she spared to her family and friends: she will be greatly missed by them. For unobtrusive life and helping others as she lived out her span of years.

"There is no death; the stars go down
To rise upon some farther shore;
And bright in heaven's jeweled crown
They shine for evermore."

Funeral services were conducted at the Mitchelville church Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. by the Rev. E. P. Reed. Interment in Burns cemetery. Music was by the Mitchelville choir. Pallbearers were Alma Hall, Victor Hall, Glen Hall, Ernest Cook, James Campbell and Charles Jensen, who were grandsons of Mrs. Farber.
