Fred Clay "Uncle Fred" Taylor, 84, of Charleston died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1996 at home. He retired from Libby-Owens-Ford with 28 years of service. He was a charter member of Loudendale Nazarene Church and ministered at several Nazarene churches. He was a member and chaplain of Loudendale Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, an officer of Libby-Owens-Ford Retirees Club and a former resident of Cass. Surviving: wife, Mary E. Taylor; sons, James L. of Charleston, the Rev. E. Charles of Summersville, Arthur L. of Middletown, Md., Thomas W. of Hopewell, Va.; daughters, Ruth E. Parshall of Cleveland, Ohio, Hazel J. McDonald of Toledo, Ohio, Laura M. Clark of St. Albans; sisters, Dorothy Anderson of Linn, Bessie Teter of Gerradstown, Ocie Smith of North Carolina, Stella Vannoy of Portsmouth, Va.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
