Gloris Georgia Poole Goff, 94, passed away on May 14, 2015 in Florence, Arizona. She was born in Whitney, Idaho on March 13, 1921 to Kittie Dunkley and George Morgan Poole. Her childhood was filled with fond memories of growing up on a farm with loving parents and 5 siblings. She attended schools in Whitney, Preston, as well as LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. Gloris married her high school sweetheart Charles W Goff on July 15, 1939 in Paris, ID. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple on October 8, 1956.
The early years of marriage were spent in various areas as her husband was a member of the U.S. Coastguard. Gloris worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco. Throughout life Gloris had many opportunities to travel, visiting over 60 countries alongside her husband.
Gloris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gloris received great joy in her family and provided unconditional love.
Gloris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous positions within the church including relief society president and temple worker. Gloris was also active in civic duties including President of the Utah Symphony Guild 1985-1986.
Gloris is survived by husband, Charles W Goff Sr; her three sons- Gary (Cindy), Charles Jr (Nora), Greg (Lynell), numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It is not possible to articulate the depth in which Gloris has touched the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Corinne LDS Church, 2335 N. 4000 W., Corinne, Utah. Friends may call Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be Saturday at 2 pm in the Preston, Idaho Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
