Don was born in Weston, Ontario. He lived there most of his life. In the last war, he lived for awhile in Woodbridge, Ontario at his cousins place, because it was out of the city, supposedly away from a war zone.He worked as an underwriter of Insurance. Lived his last years in Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital. Leaves behind his daughter Linda, and son Stephen and his wife Robyn. His grandchild Jasmine. Will be sadly missed by his partner Hilda Thompson. He died of Alzheimers' Disease. Is buried beside his wife Ruth Mathieson. Their grave is found in the newer sections, at the far back-Black Stone, with white writing. His stone reads: FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS, WITH A SINGLE ROSE BETWEEN THEM.
