TIVOLI: William Lester Losee, Sr., 73, of Tivoli Gardens, Tivoli, N.Y., formerly of Sharptown Road, Stuyvesant, N.Y. died Sunday, October 23, 2005 in the Baptist Nursing Home, Rhinebeck.
Born in Hudson, N.Y., December 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Sylvanus and Margaret (Leach) Losee.
His wife, Shirley Ann (Johnson) Losee passed away in 1987.
Mr. Losee was a veteran of the Korean War in the U.S. Army, Company C, 7th Infantry. He was employed as a senior offset pressman for the Hamilton Printing Co. in East Greenbush. He was an assistant with the CYO program at St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie as well as an assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 113 in Kinderhook. He was also a lifetime member of the Stuyvesant Fire Co.
He is survived by two sons, William L. Losee Jr. of Vt. and Robert M. Losee of East Durham, N.Y.; one sister, Margaret Rita Santos of East Park, N.Y.; a beloved companion, Barbara Farmer of Tivoli; two grandsons, Joshua Martin Losee and Corbin Lique. He is also survived by several other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Scott Wayne Losee.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Rt. 9, Valatie with Rev. Walcott Hunter officiating. Interment will be in Reidsville Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
