THE people of the state of New York, to Elizabeth Howe, Jonathan Metcalf, Joseph Metcalf and Willard Metcalf, of Seneca Falls, Seneca county, N. Y., Thomas J. Metcalf of Varick in said county, and Sybel Neal of Lodi in said county, Franklin Metcalf, residing in Canada West, the particular place not known, Augustus Metcalf and John Metcalf residing in the state of Ohio, and Edwin Brown, residing in the state of Massachusetts, and Saloma Langdon and her husband Lorenzo Langdon, residing at Palmyra, Wayne county, N. Y., heirs at law of Sybel Marsh, late of Lodi in the county of Seneca, deceased, intestate, send greetings: You and each of you are hereby cited and required personally to be and appear before our surrogate of the county of Seneca, at his office in the village of Waterloo, on the 4th day of November next, at 10 o'clock A. M., then and there to show cause why administration of the goods, chattels and credits of the said intestate should not be granted to Peter Neal of Lodi in said county, who has applied therefore:

In testimony whereof, we have caused the seal of office of our said surrogate to be hereunto afixed.

Sybil is most likely buried here with her 1st husband John Metcalf. It would not have been uncommon for the children to have both parents buried in the same cemetery together, as Sybil's 2nd husband predeceased her as well.
