Died at St. Joseph

James Martin Adams, of St. Joseph, died at his home there Friday

afternoon at 3:00 0'clock, after an illness of two months.

He was born June 17, 1869 in Ray County, the son of George and

Susan (Cates) Adams, both of Ray County. He had lived in Ray County

for fifty-seven years. He was married October 18, 1900, to Mary Fiddler, of Ray County, who

survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Geneva Treftz, of St. Joseph; five brothers, Albert and Arthur Adams of Rayville, John Adams of Wentzville, Mo., Sam Adams of Richmond, and Oscar Adams of Kearney, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Bice, of Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at

Union Church at Rayville, Rev. Donaghue officiating. Burial was in

the Union Cemetery, J. E. Broadhurst of Rayville in charge of arrangements.
