Emogene was a 1948 graduate of Academy High School. She was an active, founding member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and helped run Bingo for 18 years. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards and knitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Kreider; and her brother, Eugene Bosch.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Wilbur C. Kreider; three daughters, Jan Henning and her husband Bo, Karen Toothman and her husband John, and Sue Brolaski and her husband Al, all of Erie; four sons, John Kreider of Erie, Joe Kreider of South Carolina, Tom Kreider and his wife Debby of Florida and Dan Kreider and his wife Sun of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
