Funeral services were held for Doris Jeannine Stinson Havard, 86, of Lucedale on Friday, July 3, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Interment followed in Rocky Creek Cemetery with Rev. Greg Barker officiating the services.
A mother and homemaker and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, she died July 1. She was born February 10, 1929.
She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Havard of Lucedale; grandson William Kirk Helton of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sisters Carolyn (Leslie E. “Bebo”) Bratos of Houston, Texas, Judy (Woodie) Persons of Dublin, Ga.; brother-in-law Harley Lee (Margie) Havard of Lucedale; special friends Norma Eubanks and Gene and Ann Bosche, all of Lucedale; and much loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph William “Dub” Havard, daughter Karen Elizabeth Havard, mother Sadie Elnora Thomas Stinson, father John Hubert Stinson, brother John Hubert “Red” Stinson Jr. and sister-in-law Myrtle Ann Corley Stinson.
Pallbearers included Gene Bosch, Gene Havard, Neil McInnis, Ben Shows, Anthoney Fryfogle and Johnny Smith.
George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
