David Wayne Wilcox, 70, a prominent Caribou businessman, passed away Monday morning July 13, 2015 at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. He was born September 18, 1944 in Caribou, the son of Merle and Rebecca Philbrook Wilcox.

He owned and operated Dave's Auto Sales and Easy Rental in Caribou for 23 years. He was known as "Give Away Dave".

He was avid fisherman and hunter, a ham radio operator, enjoyed playing golf, and watching the birds. Dave was a past president of the Caribou Rotary Club.

He is survived by his father Merle Wilcox of Woodland, his wife of 50 years Marie Davenport Wilcox of Caribou, a daughter Lory Wilcox of Woodland, a brother Michael Wilcox and his wife Betty Ann of Woodland, a sister Sylvia Hebert and her husband Richard of Murrells Inlet, SC, and his golfing buddies Rodney Mahan and Hampton Jackson Sr.

A graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland with Pastor Troy Herald officiating.
