Thomas J. Beck "Tommy", 59, proud native Memphian, died peacefully on November 23, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Beck and is survived by his mother, Sylvia Abraham Beck and his stepdaughter, Jessica Gibbs, both of Memphis; his twin sister, Nancy Dixon and his sisters, Elizabeth Farrand "Liz" and Sharon Gadless, all of AZ; his sister, Linda Worthman "Shaina" of NJ; his brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many amazing friends.

Tommy attended White Station Jr. and High Schools, graduated from Tech High School and attended Lincoln Junior College in Lincoln, IL.

He was a fixture in midtown and was a devoted fan of the Tigers and the Grizzlies. He worked in the liquor business for many years, most recently at Joe's and Kimbrough and also worked part-time at FedEx. Tommy will be missed by his family and friends for his generosity, his sense of humor and his love of life.

He supported the Memphis Zoo, Church Health Center, the Salvation Army Toy Drive and many other local organizations. His family would like to thank the staffs of The Glenmary and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care.
