Lt. U.S. Navy Veteran, World WAR II-Mr. Hilary Masters, son of Mr. Edgar Lee Masters, died of natural causes on 6-14-2015 at his home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He is the son of Mr. Edgar Lee & Mrs. Ellen Francis {Coyne} Masters of Kansas City, Missouri, and the father of three children, Miss Joellen, Miss Catherine, Mr. John Masters.

Mr. Masters was married twice, Mrs. Polly Jo Masters & Mrs. Kathleen George Masters.

Before his military service with the Navy as a Correspondent, he attended Davidson College in North Carolina, and received his BA from Brown University in 1952 with his G.I. Bill benefits, and later at Carnegie Mellon as a Professor.

His father wrote the great book, "Spoon River Anthology" about the people of Illinois, Lewistown & Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Masters worked as a Novelist "The Common Pasture" & "An American Marriage"
