Mike was born in Ironton, Ohio on December 6, 1951 son of the late Davis L. and Dorothy Arrowwood Massie. He was in the Automotive Industry for most of his life and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Addison Freewill Baptist Church and currently attended Shannon United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Prather Massie and two children Michael David Massie and Erica Wolfe; a step-son Chris Stapleton; five grandchildren; a sister Emily (Frank) Zuleski ; mother-in-law Ethelene Prather and a sister-in-law Billie Jo (Gene) Peters and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Ann Brown-Fife and Glennda Massie and a brother David D. Massie.
Graveside services will be conducted at Noon on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Reynolds Cemetery in Addison, OH. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Sunday at Palmer Funeral Home in May’s Lick.
