Clydie Lee MANGUM

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Clydie Lee Mangum, age 80, was born July 7, 1925 and died February 18, 2006 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. An assistant in the special education department of the Warren County School System and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Clara Cantrell Banks. She was married to Fred Brown Mangum who preceded her in death in 1988. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Wayne Mangum in 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy West of Nashville, TN and Debra Roberts of McMinnville; three sons, Donald Mangum of Nashville, Stephen Mangum, and Chris Mangum of McMinnville; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Freddie Nelson of Kansas City, Kansas and Ann Austin of Nashville, TN and a brother, Charles Banks of Auburntown, TN. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Kirby officiating. Burial followed in the DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
