Constance Marie Low Stout, 63, of Westport, Indiana, died at her home Monday surrounded by her family.

She was born in Columbus, Indiana to Royce and Eunice (Mayfield) Low, graduated from South Decatur High School, attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute where she was a member of the University Singers and Alpha Lambda Delta academic honor society. She resided in Terre Haute, Indiana until she returned to the Westport area with her family and worked at G-Com until she began teaching voice and piano in Seymour, then in Greensburg (Melody Mart) and also taught Musikgarten at the YMCA in Batesville and Greensburg. She was an accomplished pianist and vocalist who sang the national anthem at regional volleyball games and performed at Final Four Banquets.

Connie started her music career at the age of nine playing piano for the Westport Christian Church services. She maintains her Christian faith throughout her life and led a family-focused, Christ-centered, active life.

She is survived by her mother, three children: David (Kelly) Stout, Teresa Stout, Kristen (Nathan) Fuchs, five siblings: Donnella (Ron) Buchanan, Robert (Rebecca) Low, Rhonda Low, Jonnita (Kenny) McCleary, R. Fred (Bonnie) Low, 3 grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and great nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 17th, 2015 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bartlett officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Westport Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made thru the funeral home to Westport Christian Church or to Our Hospice of Decatur/Shelby County.
