WEST BURLINGTON - Harry Madison Beer, 65, of 701 E. Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Oct. 9, in Memorial hospital.
He was born April 17, 1910, at Keosauqua, the son of Harry S. and Mary Randolph Beer. April 8, 1939, at Fairfield, he married Rosie P. Giefer. She died in 1966.
Mr. Beer was an inspector at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant until his retirement in 1074. He was a member of First Christian church, Des Moines Lodge 1 (AF&AM), Murad Grotto, Davenport Consistory and Kaaba Shrine; he was an army veteran of World War II.
Surviving: one son, Ronald, Burlington.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, Giles-Elliott funeral home, Rev. John Vickers; Fellows cemetery, Keosauqua. Masonic services tonight at 7:30 in Giles-Elliott funeral home. A memorial has been established.

Death Takes Harry Beer
Harry Beer, 64, former Fairfield resident, died Thursday afternoon at Memorial Hospital in Burlington.

Beer was born in Keosauqua. He was a veteran of World War II and a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rosie Zeiffer of Fairfield. Surviving is one son, Ronnie Beer, Burlington.
Funeral arrangements cannot be made until his son, now on a trip to Canada, can be located. The body is at the Giles Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua.
