Donna M. Gresl, age 73, of 3705 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a brief battle with cancer.

The former Donna M. Glaeser was born on February 9, 1942 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Arnold and Estha (Krohn) Glaeser. Donna attended local schools and was a 1960 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On May 12, 1962, Donna was married to Kenneth J. Gresl at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Ken and Donna enjoyed traveling and crafting, then starting in 1994 the couple began spending winters in Florida. Donna's greatest joys came from time spent with her children and grandchildren both in Manitowoc and the wonderful times at their cottage on Shawano Lake - the many religious and family reunions held with family members and friends known as "Happiness Is…." Donna was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, past president and member of the Catholic Junior League, RENEW Program, CEW and Marriage Encounter.

Survivors include her husband: Kenneth J. Gresl, Manitowoc; her 4 children: Steven (Cindy) Gresl, Menasha; David Gresl, Menasha; Cheryl (Mark) Burns, Springfield, IL; Kristin Gresl, Manitowoc; 5 grandchildren: Danielle Gresl and her fiancé: Andrew Newman; Michael Gresl; Ally Gresl; Megan Gresl; Kayla Gresl; 1 brother and sister-in-law: Bob (Grace) Glaeser, North Fond du Lac; 5 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law: Judy (Tom) Woodkey, FL; Joyce (Mick) Rolland, Manitowoc; Mary Smith, Manitowoc; LouAnn Hanson, Kaukauna; Sue (Tom) Denor, Manitowoc; niece: Bonnie (Curt) Bender, Markesan. She was preceded in death by her parents: Arnold and Estha Glaeser; and niece: Marilyn Triatik.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Waldo, 1121 North 14th St., Manitowoc. Rev. Dave Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St., on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home led by Deacon Al Boeldt.

A memorial fund has been established in Donna's name for Roncalli High School.
