Charles Dennis Atkinson, 86 of Camden, was the son of the late John L. and Alice Quillen Atkinson. He was also preceded by his brothers, J.P. Atkinson; Teddy Atkinson; James Pitts Atkinson; Johnny Atkinson; sister, Faye Atkinson; and grandchild, Mandi Bowen. He is survived by his wife, Levern Brewer Atkinson; daughter, Joan (John) Phillips of Camden; son, Randy (Patty) Atkinson of Hurricane Mills; brothers, Frank Atkinson of Centerville; Richard (Deloris) Atkinson of Florence; sisters, Shirley (Joe) Staggs of Centerville ;Helen Deen of Columbia; and 3 grandchildren.
He was and NRA Life Member; a member of the Local 292 Iron Workers Exec. Committee; a private pilot; and a member of the Nunnelly Church of Christ. He was also in the Air Force.
