Carole H. Hoyer, 56, of 521 S. Wilbur Ave. died Sunday at home.

Born in Pioneer, Ohio, she lived in Michigan and Western New York before moving to Syracuse in 1968.

Mrs. Hoyer was secretary/treasurer of the Hoyer Hearse Service for 25 years.

A sister, Barbara Day, died in 1993.

Surviving are her husband, Richard; two sons, Richard Jr. and David, both of Syracuse; a daughter, Melanie of Syracuse; her parents, the Rev. Clair and Olive Day of Central Square; a brother, David Day of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Constance Day of Indian Lake; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, the Rev. Clair Day officiating. Burial is in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.

Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 1609 W. Genesee St., Syracuse.
