Barone, Avis Mary of Sacramento, was called home to the Lord on 3/26/15 at the age of 90.

Avis was born in La Pinta Colo., On 4/3/1924 and was married to Eugene Peter Barone for 72 years.

Loving mother to Robert Eugene (Lori) Barone. Grandmother to Austin and Lily Barone.

Preceded in death by her husband Eugene Peter Barone, parents Robert and Anna Corbin and brother Harold Corbin.

Her favorite activity was driving from Sacramento, with her husband Gene, to watch their only child "Bobby Barone" play in his RockNRoll bands in the bay area during the 70's, 80's and 90's. For years Avis exercised in her high heels to her son Bobby's Rock Bands, that she recorded when she would drive down to watch him play.

The family spent a lot of time at Park Terrance in Sacramento swimming and playing tennis. Avis really loved to sew and enjoyed working in her garden.

Gene and Avis used to party with their friends in Sacramento, who on occasion woke them up in the middle of the night and demanded Breakfast.

Avis was very particular about her hair and no one was to touch it or get it wet.

When Avis's husband was in the Army, Avis followed him to Pennsylvania, so she could be near him. They were married in Louisiana and then Eugene went off to war in 1942. Avis did not see him again until the end of the war in 1945. Avis was a Gold Star Sister for many years after World War II. Her only brother Harold Corbin's plane was shot down over France in 1944.

The cremated remains of Avis and her husband Eugene Barone will be laid to rest together near Sacramento, CA at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park on 8/5/2015 at 2 P.M.

There will be a full army color guard salute for Eugene Barone's Military service during World War II. There will also be a eulogy and music provided by Robert and Lori Barone.
